Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral 1

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle manual therapy that facilitates the body’s natural healing processes. It focuses on restoring the bony alignment of the cranium, spine and pelvis through the release of membranous and fascial restrictions around the brain, spinal cord and throughout the body. This is achieved by tapping into and augmenting the natural rhythmic pulsations of the cerebral spinal fluid. We also mobilize cranial bones to release pressure on cranial nerves and arteries, providing relief for headaches and facial neuralgias.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle yet powerful manual therapy that facilitates the body’s natural healing processes.

The health and vitality of the human being can be measured by the quality and quantity of the Life Force that courses through and around it. One expression of this energy is the Craniosacral rhythm, expressed as a subtle fluctuation of all the tissues in the body.

Working with the cranial rhythms can release restrictions in the organs and tissues of the body, balancing our digestive, hormonal and muscular-skeletal systems. Aligning the cranial bones and related tissues release strain through-out the body including the TMJ, eyes and upper neck, offering effective treatment for such conditions as chronic pain, spinal and head injury, anxiety, PTSD and whiplash. It is also used in the treatment of endocrine dysfunction and hormonal imbalances. The gentle nature of Craniosacral therapy is well suited for those with chronic fatigue, compromised immune function and frail or sensitive beings.

Craniosacral Therapy is safe and gentle enough for children and babies in the treatment of colic, wry neck, chronic ear infections or learning challenges. It is used as an assist during pregnancy and labour, easing the postural strains on your changing body and opening the pelvis for delivery. It is also very helpful for conditions associated with aging, palliative care and end of life transitions.
